Octopus Pendant on a silver necklace chain

This Octopus Pendant is a very special color where one color is placed over another and can change the color, much like real octopi can change colors.

Octopus pendants are some of Rons favorite subjects when doing glass art sculptures!

This little guy has been very popular and we have sold many of them the last few years. It is made by layering one color of glass over another. This changes the color and from its original. Kind of like a real Octopus that change colors according to their surroundings. We are fascinated by our natural world and spend much time studying nature and the many photos now available. We visit aquariums when we can and try to note the various textures and forms of the creatures that we make in our glass blowing studio.  Blown glass art and blown glass jewelry have been the main focus here at Glass and Fire. It is a lampworking studio where they not only make glass but teach glassblowing lessons to beginners. The studio in Fort Collins Colorado and seems  to be an unlikely place for so many sea life glass sculptures and ocean art to come from but they enjoy it.  Ron Burt and Keith have been making wild life art using glass and have ventured into other themes as well such as the human form and abstract art as well. Lots of functional items have gone out of the studio over the years, Art still being the main focus!

The Glass octopus jewelry pendant is about 2 inches long, and comes on a soft adjustable pendant cord or a Silver colored chain.
